Spain achieved a surprisingly high production volume in 2014, and wine exports grew by 20.47% at a lower average price. This growth placed Spain as "The world's No.1 Wine Exporter", according The Guardian. However, total demand (domestic consumption plus export volume) only represented 59.58% of the country's overall production.
