Improved weather conditions have contributed to significant production increases in 2015. The favourable 2015 harvest conditions and exchange rate has brought about a 6.27% increase in export volume. On the other hand, domestic consumption has been relatively stagnant and only increased marginally from 13 litres per capita in 1993 to 17 litres in 2015.

The VINEX Varietal Index has displayed the price trend of most significant wine varieties in Chile. Is is noticeable that the red variteies have been gradually recovering in price whereas white varieties have been displaying a strong growth trend for 3 consecutive years.
The bulk wine sector has displayed a strong 40.84% growth rate, which is contributed by the good harvast and competitive exchange rate.
